Kaye has spent most of the past few years developing her original music and creative mandolin techiques. An accomplished pianist and vocalist she brings a fresh approach to her music. Kaye currently performs three to four times a month at various songwriter acoustic venues in the midwest.  Come out to a live performance in the Kansas City area and enjoy the music for yourself.  Kaye performs with a variety of local musicians at a wide array of venues mostly all non-smoking and great for all the family to enjoy.

Kaye Johnston’s debut CD, Hard Times, is easy to listen to. The Acoustic guitar and mandolin provide a lush backdrop for Kaye’s gentle vocals. Here is a songwriter who definitely has something to say. Her most pointed lyric is in a song co-written with John Mitchell about getting too much advice. Johnston is a neophyte no longer.
